Hey folks! My name is Aden and I’ve been hosting Cruiser Rocks for the last 3 years along with the help of alot of great friends. I continue to have a blast hosting this event as it grows with each ride. (170 riders in ‘09)
It is always a pleasure to see returning riders as well as new faces each time we roll out!… 2010 will mean CR6 in the summer and CR7 in the fall. Both rides will feature some special surprises and promise to be really incredible events. I am extra excited this year because I will be debuting my new bicycle acquisition (pictured). 36″ wheels make this bike over 8 feet long (even taller than me!)
Rather than post my life story, I’ll just give you some highlights. I’ve been in Denver for 3 years now. I moved here from Dallas, TX (don’t judge!). I moved here to get out of Dallas. I was the lead singer in a post-punk band throughout most of the 90’s. I’ve toured the country in an ice cream truck playing dive bars and sleeping on fans floors and couches. I’ve owned an independent record company. I’ve owned a teen-run music promotion company that spearheaded the social networking explosion and landed on the cover of Businessweek. I own and continue to be creative director for a graphic design company that has been in business since 1997. I have supported the Love Hope Strength Foundation for four years by raising money to climb to the basecamp of Mt. Everest in Nepal and trek the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. Both treks resulted in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer hospitals in both countries. I am a 4 year triathlete and will be attempting my first Ironman race (140 miles) in July. Wish me luck!
What else? I have a great dane named Max… Oh and I’ve been told I’m tall about 3 million times. I’m looking forward to meeting some new riders in June. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
